The Encouraging Word

The Encouraging Word is a one-verse weekly devotional highlighting one of God's many incredible promises. It is sent to you (or to whomever you ask us) to encourage you in your walk with the Lord. It began as a ministry in 1998 to the members of the church I was pastoring. Since then it has grown to minister to people throughout the United States and other parts of the world. (And now it's available in book form.)

It is designed to help you to know and live by the promises of God. God wants you to know that His promises are real and are for you!! It is based on Numbers 11:23:

The LORD said to Moses, "Is the LORD'S power limited? Now you shall see whether My word will come true for you or not."

It is human nature to doubt the promises of God (even Moses struggles with this). But the more we get to know God and claim His promises, the more we will see their reality in our lives! The Encouraging Word was created for this reason.

It is intentionally short because we know that you received hundreds of e-mails weekly and don't have time to read all of them. Reading these should take you less than a minute but leave you inspired to face the challenges of life. Please feel free to forward these on to your family and friends or send us their e-mail addresses (with their permission, of course).
